Area around IC 423 and 424 in Orion
About this object
Like two ghosts floating in space, these two reflection nebula, IC 423, on the right and IC 426, upper left, are lit up by two very bright stars, Mintaka and Alnilam. Both stars are just out of the field of view in the cropped image and made it a challange to image this area due to reflections from these stars. This area is also filled with faint background dust. Several 17th magnitude galaxies also populate the field
