NGC 1333
About this object
NGC 1333 is a reflection nebula in the Constellation Perseus. Just north of the blue reflection area, red emission areas show up as bright red as do dark clouds of dust. This area is part of the Perseus OB2 molecular cloud and is also one of the nearest areas forming stars. This image combines light from Red, Green and Blue filters along with a filter highlighting bright hydrogen emission (Red) called Hydrogen Alpha.
