NGC 5466
About this object
NGC 5466 is a globular cluster in the constellation Boötes. Located 51,800 light years from Earth and 52,800 light years from the center of the Milky Way, it was discovered by William Herschel on May 17, 1784. Its a fairly loose cluster without a very bright core.
The above image is a first light test image using the newly introduced Stellarvue SVQ86 quadruplet scope and my QSI 583 camera. The image combines about 90min of Red, Green and Blue filtered images.
