NGC 2282 in Monoceros
About this object
NGC 2282/VdB 85 is a neat little reflection and emission nebula along with a star cluster in the constellation Monoceros. Its well placed in the winter sky. The nebula is thought to be about 5.500 light years distant and an area of star formation.
This image only contains one night of data as we only had one clear night while at the winter star party. Its was also binned 2x2 in order to gather as much signal as possible given only 1 night of data. It combines a total of 4hrs of data.
