About this object
Near Barnards loop in Orion, LDN 1622 is a faint dark nebula with a small bluish reflection nebula embedded within. Within this area and behind the dark dust cloud hydrogen emission glows red outlining the dark dust which blocks out most of the stars within.
This image was taken with a 130mm refractor and SBIG STL 11K camera through Luminance, Red, Green and Blue filters and processed with PixInsight.
