About this object
Sh2-73 is listed in the Sharpless catalog as a HII region but this area is really a molecular cloud of gas and dust and a very faint one at that. Its located in the constellation Hercules. There are also references to it being a integrated flux nebula. Sh2-73 is also cataloged as LBN 105, IREC 53 and MBM 40. My previous image of this object was done in March 2012. This is a newer image taken with a Stellarvue SVS130 astrograph.
